Contact heat machines

Below you will find more information on the GN contact heat technology and the advantages this technology gives.

This is how it works!

To the left you will find a typical tool layout for a rectangular tray on a GN contact heat machine.

The skeletal waste has a very low scrap rate because of common knives (no scrap between the cavities) and no chain transport.

Rectangular trays: Typically 9-16% waste.

Round trays: Typically 15-24% waste (W-formation tool layot is often possible).

Hinged trays: Typically 12-19% waste.

To the left you will see a model tool.

Please notice the common knives which is one of the reasons for the very low scrap rate.

Also you will notice that the tool constrution is very simple.

Advantages:

  • Inexpensive tool costs.
  • 100% accurate cut because of forming and cutting in one station.
  • Very low energy consumption <10kWh

GN contact heat machines can be equipped with robotic stacker for longer unmanned production so the operator easily can operate two or more machines.

GN contact heat machines run APET, OPS, HIPS, PVC, Styrolux and PLA.
